Pramuhendra as “The Best Young Artist” on this first Soemardja Award

Held in 1 April 2011 Soemardja Award is anual program held by Galeri Soemardja in two category: “The Best Student” dan “The Best Young Artist”. In the first category, the award will be given to the best artwork by student that are studying on ITB art academy from four  lines of interest: Painting, Printmaking, Sculpture and Ceramic.

The category “The Best Young Artist” are given to the graduate art alumni from ITB under 30 year that have shown their effort and their reputation on Indonesian art world and on the broader area regional and international.

This two category was given as an effort on remembering  Sjafe’i Soemardja as a prominent figure in the art education history; building conducive environment while improving professionalism spirit amongst young prominent artist and projected to be taking part as a positive trigger to build a fine scholarly commitment and consistency of every ITB art graduate on the broader social field of art.
